The strings look and feel a bit rough at first and they look like the coating would rub off on your fingers. But i have spent the entire week shredding the heck out of some music and there is no wear or rubbing off in any way. I purchased the yellow and the orange and alternated them every other string and it creates an amazing visual effect when playing. One person commented that it looks like my strings are on fire. I take that as a compliment to my playing but I'm sure most of the credit goes to the strings. I will gladly buy these again when the time comes and recommend them to all my friends. You really have to try them to see how amazing they truly are!”

The K3? coating on DR strings are designed for use with standard picks and fingers. As with any string, coated or uncoated, the surface can be damaged by scraping against metal. It is important that care be taken when stringing guitars and basses where the strings are passed through a metal block or bridge. Scraping can damage the coating.
